Royalty Analyst

A royalty analyst makes sure every licensee pays what the contract says. They collect and check royalty statements, compare them with the deal’s rates, minimum guarantees and territories, raise invoices and follow up on late or wrong reports.

It is the most common way into licensing finance, and the role that sees the most licensees. Senior analysts often also set up new contracts in the royalty system and support audits.

Where the role sits

The royalty analyst keeps royalties flowing.

Validated invoices for the ERP, and exceptions for follow up.

The risky handoff

Every licensee reports in its own format. Without templates and automatic checks, hours go on cleaning data, and a missed minimum guarantee is found months late.
