Licensing careers
Brand licensing careers, mapped.
What each role does, how it grows and how it is measured.
Brand licensing is a career most people find by accident. You may join from retail, sport, design, finance or a studio, and soon find that job titles mean different things at different companies. This library sets out every role in a licensor’s licensing team, built from real job ads at sports leagues, studios, toy and game companies, museums and agencies, and from Flowhaven’s work with licensing teams worldwide.

Skills that stand out
Platform skills set candidates apart.
The same tools come up across every track: Excel and PowerPoint everywhere, Adobe in creative, ERP systems in finance. What increasingly sets candidates apart is hands on experience with a licensing platform. Some licensors already list Flowhaven experience in their job ads.
Built on the world’s number one CRM.
Flowhaven is built on Salesforce, which IDC has ranked the number one CRM for 13 years in a row, with a 20% share of the CRM market in 2025. Flowhaven and Salesforce experience is a strong addition to any licensing CV.

Most people start as a licensing coordinator, product development coordinator or royalty analyst. Experience in retail, consumer products, sport, entertainment or finance helps.
